Not so far from the famous square Piazza del Campo and the Palazzo Publicco you can find buildings like this. Actually just a few hundred meters behind the Palazzo the town holds to an end and thats where you can find less glamarous houses like these where the city people live.

I do like Siena Jan - so much to explore and see. This is a great one away from the tourist areas - a good view and subtle colours.

Ik denk dat men daar moet geboren zijn om zich te kunnen aarden.

Hello Jan,

A different look at the less known part of a popular tourist attraction place. This really fits the main theme of TE too. A great bottom-up composition from a good POV. I liked the bold colors of window shutters that make striking contrasts against the earthy color tones of the buildings. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes,

Une composition très réussie avec ces vieux et vénérables immeubles se pressant les uns contre les autres, des ruelles, des escaliers, du linge séchant aux fenêtres ou sur des cordes. C'est tout un monde particulier, une façon de vivre, c'est le sud !
Ce cadrage serré est parfait pour donner toute la force du sujet.

Excellent close up, highly compact looking old dwelling and there is lots to look at, the textures, detail and all the grittiness innatural colors. A typical Med scene and a fascinating old architecture but full of character and its own charm and the green windows hold the focus there. Great observation and well taken.

A nice capture from what seems to be a backyard of this famous place. The window shutters and the laundry hanging out to dry is a nice addition. Nice monochrome colour shceme. Very nice work:) TFS. Enjoy your Sunday.
