Photographer’s Note

The rolling hills of the Val D'Orcia, just outside San Quirico. The sky was full of clouds that were throwing shadows over the area, and the green grass of spring was highlighted by many bright yellow flowers.

Hi Colin,

Different tones of green ridges makes your photo an attractive one with natural slope of ridges and slightly yellow stains. Excellent addition of lonely trees and wonderful sky. Congratulations.

Lovely Italian landscape with the lush green hills rolling away; the diagonal line of the valley makes a great graphic to lead the eye through the image. The shadows punctuate the tones of green very well. Lovely sky, too.

Hi Colin, I like that green grass. It pops out at you even in the thumbnail. This contrasts nicely your blue sky with those great clouds. Detail is good, especially on the front where the blades of grass stand out so well. Very nice light and shadow display seen on the grassy hills.

Very good greens, not too saturated up, and the rolling hills are superb. Like the mix of some yellow in there and the trees to back really show the scale of these hills.
