Photographer's Note

San Quirico is a charming walled town on the north bank of the Val d'Orcia in southern Tuscany and often unfairly overlooked by visitors Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano.
The town of San Quirico d'Orcia, which offers a view of the valley Orcia and Asso, has lost one of its medieval gates during World War II, successfully keeping the rest of the thirteenth century defensive walls with towers and rectangular Porta Cappuccini.
