Photographer’s Note
I spent 3 days in Tuscany, 80% for mountain biking, 20% for photography. In the late afternoon we headed uphill from Val d´Orcia to Pienza, a wonderful city on a hill. Exhausted, thirsty and sweating we arrived at the main place. I saw these ladies sitting in front of the townhall, in the shadow of the arches. They looked so "same same but different" that I took out the camera of my backpack immediately. It took me 5 minutes to convince them to be photographed by a sweating foreigner in a bike dress, and 1 minute to take all their photos. Please see my previous postings for details.

Hallo Christian!
Super Foto.
Gruß,Leo

Christian: of course this is a timeless composition - much more difficult to capture than it would suggest. congrats. c

Hallo Christian,
The end of a great serie and how nice to see all of them on that bench. Bit shy, proud, with a smile...great ladies, great portraits.
Have a nice weekend,

Hi,Christian -
Great human interest shot! I have to wonder if they put on those expressions just for you, or if they're always like that? One of the photographer's unsolvable dilemmas.
Best,
Dan

Hallo Christian! Was fuer eine nette Gruppe Frauen. Barbara.

Dear Chris,
I have been talking to people about how difficult it is to photograph people here in Europe, as I find a different world from my India, where it is relatively easy.
I think the 'nanny band' liked you :) on the first place there were completely taken aback by the fact that a 'sweating foreigner in a bike dress' was so eager to photograph them. lol!
I guess this is the first of the 5 I see here, and the individual portraits are amazing!
greetings from Trieste,
Arnab

:-)) You had terrific subjects!
Somehow, I wish we had only the two middle women here, one smiling at you and the other one seeming to not trust you. ;-)
There is definitively a charm to that photo. It makes me smile which is still a good thing!
Not a big fan of the big white frame for this one. I guess I am wishing to see them more.
..............
I've notice that you are leaving TE, for a while or for longer. Enjoy your new destination(s), your new exploration(s)!
