The Duomo (Cathedral), dedicated to both Sant'Assunta and Santo Genesio. It was originally a Romanesque building, but it has been remodelled several times and exhibits Gothic and some Renaissance arcchitectural elements. The façade incorporates a number of colorful majolica bowls. The interior has Latin cross plan with a central nave with two side aisles. The cathedral's campanile, a fortification annexed in is called the Matilde Tower and features an asymmetrical clock. (Wikip.)

interesting and very good composition! Looks like it was a hot summer day? I like the warm colours of the image and the distinct difference between the foreground (with the Cathedral) and the background (with this beautiful landscape view in the distance). It's nice to see the colours and sharpness gradually changing from FG to BG with mountains in the haze..

It seems like you had a pretty good vacation your self. good PP work with the upper part, nice color scheme the Sandstone? houses looks really golden and are a nice contrast to the lush green environment. an of cause a good POV to get the typical Tuscan landscape.

this composition is creating the entire beauty of Tuscany. I like your idea of putting the amazing cathedral on the right side giving space for the valley and the mountains in the background. The colours are excellent. Great work!
Have a nice weekend!

Excellent shot Stefan, i like the you composed this shot and fill the frame with the Cathedral at the right portion. The brooding mountains from a distant horizon adds a pleasing mood in the scene. Bravo.

I was waiting for the next picture from your vacations. It was worth it. A very fine view with the old church embedded among trees, looking out towards a typical Tuscan valley. Very fine colours with a touch of sunny haze.

Tuscany is certainly an extraordinary and beautiful part of Italy. This photo really proves this! Not omly a beautiful landscape, but also a very fine composition with that 'line' across the motive in the rooftops. Very good colours too!
