“I retoni of Mouth of Arno”, as we call them us pisani, has aroused always a great photographic charm;
in fact they hack him in front of the coast of the Versilia and to the spectacular mountainous chain of the Alps Apuane famous for the marble.
The light that illuminates this piece of Mediterranean coast to the sunset is suggestive and fascinating making Mouth of Arno a place of extraordinary beauty.

They lower the nets into the water and winch them up when the fishes are feeding in the net?.. just my guess. A wonderful scene, lovely clouds.

Hello Francesco,

This is an amazing old fishing technique, possibly originating in ancient China!
The very special light here makes this an artistic image, and the wonderful clouds in the horizon are real eye-catchers too...
I notice the pin sharp details in this lovely maritime scene!

Sono contento di vedere questi meravigliosi colori di un tardo tramonto che ci regalano il rossastro particolare che dà calore all' immagine. Il tipo di pesca lo vediamo anche dalle nostre parti lungo i fiumi (ma non essendo pratico di pesca ... non sò che tipo di pesci ... pescano).
