Even if it is not so big, Elba island shows an incredible variety of rocks.
Running along the coast you can admire a continuos change of landscapes, passing from very long sandy beaches to white porphiric or gray granitic cliffs.
The northern part of the coast that goes from Portoferraio to Capo Enfola is one my favourite. In beetween white porphiric cliffs you can find some small inlets made of white gravels and have a bath in a very transparent water.
