Photographer's Note

The Church of Santa Maria is a fourteenth century building whose façade is characterized by a simple architecture and inside looks divided into three naves enhanced by a fine ciborium, or a tabernacle in the shape of a small temple, which dates back to centuries. VIII-IX consists of four columns supporting a canopy terminating in a conical element, has a refined decoration with ornamental pre-Romanesque. The tabernacle of the church of Santa Maria is the only example of its kind in Tuscany attributable to the pre Romanesque
