San Miniato 3 Photo

Photographer’s Note

In San Miniato I did not only admire the wonderful architecture of this unique church, I could also hear
beautiful organ music. I had the opportunity to observe this man practising.
I used to play piano, spending some hours every day by keyboard (now I also spend some hours but the keyboard is diiferent :). But my dream was to play organ, this is for me the most wonderful instrument. I can immagine how it would be to play Bach. But this dream was never fulfilled.

Jest człowiek i chwała Ci za to. Każde zdjęcie z człowiekiem jest lepsze od każdego zdjęcia bez ludzi.

Czesc Malgorzata! Tak rzadko sie widzi organistow, a muzyka ktora graja jest niewyslowiona. Wspanialy portret. Rewelcyjna rama cienia. Klaniam sie!

Ciao Malgo,
hai ragione, ci sono molti sogni irrealizzati nella nostra vita, bisognerebbe disporre almeno del doppio del tempo per realizzarne qualcuno. Intanto sei riuscita a proporci un'immagine intensa e calda di quest'uomo che suona l'organo. Davvero bella la luce e l'atmosfera ovattata che hai creato.

An eminent capture of this organ player!
Excellent use of present light and the exposure is accurate, great warm colours...
The framing is well done, in spite of large dark areas it feels right..!

Czesc Malgosiu,
Jesli szukasz dobrej jakosci dzwieku bez wydawania kilkudziesieciu tysiecy zl to polecam Yamaha Motif xs 8 - syntezator. Rewelacyjny a duzo mniejszy niz prawdziwe organy. Jesli taniej o Yamaha Tyros2 (mam, polecam;).
Podoba mi sie uklad swiatlo-cien na tym zdjeciu oraz wyraz twarzy, ktory nie jest "ustawiany".
Gdzie Ty jeszcze wleziesz? ;)))

Hi Malgorzata,
A magical mood here and a wonderful idea to include a link with this music! Excellent light and capture of his expression! So you play the piano, my dream was always to play the saxophone, but I didn´t buy one until I was 34... It is never to late to start again!

prima di tutto grazie per il link alla musica di Bach, il mio musicista preferito. Hai fatto una foto stupenda, giocando con la luce ed i colori e creando, con la musica d'organo, una piacevole sensazione mistica e di meditazione. Veramente bella, bravissima!

A lovely atmospheric photo of the organ player. Good use of existing light. I have a few times had the opportunity to listen to the practice of organ players similarly close to them. Never photographed such an event though. Thanks a lot for the music link, which gives this contribution a new great dimension! Indeed, organ is a wonderful instrument! And J.S. Bach is one of my all life favourites. :) TFS!
