A long walk outside the main tourist zones up a steep hill to a small park with thousands of people and hundreds of pickpockets. And it's one of the most divinely beautiful places I've ever been.
This is the classic view from the Piazzale Michelangelo. From this vantage point, you can see Florence's duomo (cathedral), the Palazzo Vecchio (the Old Palace), and of course the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge). It seems sunrise would be a beautiful time to go, and there would be fewer people. But sunset was plenty beautiful as well.

bella vista sul Ponte Vecchio e su Firenze, l'atmosfera è ancor più bella grazie alle luci e allo splendido tramonto, belli i riflessi nell'acqua, forse la foto è un po' troppo satura, ma il risultato è molto bello.

The classic view of Florence indeed! You cannot go wrong with this vantage point, but great lighting conditions (such as you have here) really go a long way in creating a fantastic picture. Congrats.
Have a great weekend,

I would say that your efforts were well rewarded, this is a well composed shot with the river curving nicely through the image.
The pink and blue tones are warm and very attractive.
