A closeup of some of the amazing bronze filigree work on a door in central Florence, Italy. Taken at the 'Duomo' or main square / piazza, from memory. The double doors had about 8 separate panels each depicting a biblical scene. Florence makes up for quantity compared to Venice with quality. The central city is packed with wonderful architecture and every turn reveals something new and interesting to photograph.

Your settings are perfect here as there is no glare anywhere to speak with the bronze plating.
By the way, are you still teaching in Korea? I know someone that is going to Korea as a pre-school teacher or grades 1-3 depending where they need her.

Ciao e buon fine settimana

A fine close-up on this beautifully detailed bronze door panel. The image is evenly lit allowing us to fully appreciate the craftsmanship that has gone into this artwork. Clarity is excellent. It would be great to see this in a large version.

Florence is a place I really should re-visit, I had a brief stay in the City for a few hours and never saw any of its history or beauty. When I see artistry like this I realise what I missed and this is just a fraction of what to see and photograph. Captured superbly, such a lot to look at and quite fascinating.
Enjoy your weekend - B.

I remember this one in Firenze but I thought this was on the Baptistere's doors
Not often that someone dare posting images of sculptures, and even less in 2D
But it was well worth in the present case since this shot is really excellent and provides a clear and sharp version of the real thing
Bravo for daring and for the result
have a nice day
