Photographer's Note

A photo irresistible to all who visit this beautiful city, I could not be less, and here's one of my versions of the Ponte Vecchio from Santa Trinita bridge adjacent.

The Ponte Vecchio is a medieval bridge over the River Arno in Florence (Italy). It is believed that it was a wooden bridge originally built by the Romans. After being destroyed by a flood in 1333 was rebuilt, this time entirely of stone, in 1345. Its design is attributed to the Italian painter and architect Taddeo Gaddi.

The bridge is supported on three arches, the principal has a span of 30 meters and two of 27 meters. The elevation of the arches varies between 3.5 and 4.4 meters. It is Europe's oldest bridge built entirely of stone, segmented arch closed-spandrel type.
