Photographer's Note

The Ponto-Veccio and other 4 bridge cross the Arno river in Firenze, as seen from the Piazzale-Michelangelo (43.7631, 11.265), the highest lookout in town, here is towards the west, just with a direct sun prevailed the image.

Hello Ike,
The tower in the foreground makes a good anchor point as we follow the perspective down the river across the bridges. There is much to be seen and in good detail. I like the splashes of greenery interspersed between the buildings.

A lovely capture of the multiple bridges connecting the two sides of the river. The view is exceptionally beautiful with the tower in the foreground. The image is sharp and colorful.

Another great panorama of this wonderful city, in this case a beautiful view of the Arno with the sequence of its bridges, ideal image of the "Ponte Vecchio" in first line.
A difficult light that does not diminish the beauty of the image.

Hi Ike,

The point of view is sending my eyes toward the last bridge which is giving depth to the composition. It is also showing the deatisla nd colors of the architecture of the bridges and of the buildings. The laye afternoon light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Ike, Nice close up to the bridges on Arno. Piazzale Michelangelo offers such a great panoramas. and so near is marvelous church San miniato, my favourite, I haven't seen it yet on your photos.

Hello Ike,

The river makes a fine diagonal element in the composition!
The hazy atmosphere gives a special effect, leaving the colours slightly muted...

Superb view to the famous Ponte Vecchio and the another bridge in Firenze. These differents bridge give graphic effect and rythm to the image. The FG well selected with the bell-tower and the roofs give depht.

Oooh la la. What a POV! It shows all those famous bridges of Firenze and the wonderful buildings that characterise one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I see what you say about the strong lighting, and can only imagine this all golden at sunset (or sunrise). So whilst the sun was not doing you any favours, you produced a beautiful photo which brings back wonderful memories of this magical place.

I write to you rather often today. This is a superb birds-eye view of the river Arno. I love the view. I wonder how many people in the past have seen the view and return to the city to see it again. I think you to will be among those who would return to the city to revisit and be fascinated again and again. Florence is one of the few cities which never stop to keep fascinating those who come to see the splendor. I would like to visit the city one day as you did. Hello Ike,

You're capturing well this cityscape by a good angle and excellent clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see this historical city of medieval buildings with tiled/brick red roof, a row of bridge on the winding wide river and the surrounding greenery. It looks like the city with settled and gentle atmosphere.
