Photographer's Note

Taking inspiration from a photo of the friend Andrea Grigolo (grigand) on the occasion of my visit to the beautiful exhibition of Impressionist paintings from the Musee d'Orsay in Paris, which ended today at the Museum MART in Rovereto, I wanted to remember one the most famous artists of the impressionist period of the'800, the great Vincent van Gogh. Being in front of his paintings gives a unique emotion, a great feeling of gratification.
The detail of the painting on the wall is one of his famous self-portrait.

Prendendo ispirazione da una foto dell'amico Andrea Grigolo (grigand) in occasione della mia visita alla stupenda mostra di dipinti degli impressionisti provenienti dal Musée d'Orsay di Parigi, che si è conclusa oggi al Museo MART di Rovereto, ho voluto ricordare uno degli artisti più famosi del periodo impressionista del '800, il grande Vincent van Gogh. Essere davanti ai suoi dipinti dà un'emozione unica, una grande sensazione di appagamento.
Il dettaglio del dipinto sul muro è un suo famoso autoritratto.

Bello il dipinto sul muro che riprende un suo famoso autoritratto.

Copion .. ma hai realizzato esattamente quello che volevo fare, non può che piacermi ! purtroppo nonostante numerosi scatti non sono riuscito a cogliere le persone nel posto giusto senza disturbo di auto o altro,e poi all'uscita l'ombra dei lampioni sugli occhi rovinava lo sguardo.
Una mostra che andava la pena di vedere.

Ciao Paolo, la foto è un po' storta e non dire che la strada era in salita. Non ti crederei ;) Tuttavia sei stato bravissimo a cogliere questo momento di passaggio della coppia sotto lo sguardo di Van Gogh e che bella l'ombra del lampione sulla parete. Insomma è una composizione eccellente.
Sai qual era il colore preferito di Van Gogh?

Ah...bene! Anzi: malissimo! Così sei passato per ben due volte, all'andata e al ritorno, davanti a casa mia. Senza fermarti! Ma lo sai che il mio amico Van Gogh era così arrabbiato con te che voleva tagliarsi un'altra volta un pezzo di orecchio? L'ho fermato in tempo. Però Vincent ha ragione: certe cose NON si fanno!

pitture sui muri che quando fatte con criterio sono delle vere opere d'arte.
Ben ripresa la scena con il muro che si vede per esteso con il verde oltre, il lampione e i ragazzi che passeggiano.

Hi Paolo,
Looking at the thumb nail, and without reading your note I recognize it is the eye of Van Gogh. I think I have seen this painting when it was displayed about 12 years ago in the Museum of Los Angeles. It was major deal to wait in line to see this show. But it was worth it.

Questa è una di quelle foto che non si può apprezzare se non la si apre. Dalla miniatura non si capisce cosa sia e si è portati a sottovalutarla. Invece una volta aprerta si riconoscono gli occhi di Vincent e si può notare l'orignalità delle camposizione con le piante che coronano il murale, il lampione e la coppia messa nel punto giusto a creare un punto focale.
On'ottima "street photography" ma anche una ben scelta composizione.
