Another picture of our holiday in the Dolomites last summer. This is a picture I really like because of the perspective. I had some difficulties leveling the huge contrast between the dark frontside and the light and slightly pale backside of the picture. Tried some PS'ing. Any tips on how to improve further? Any opinions?

That's exactly my kind of view, Jasper. A wonderful vista of those mountain ranges, with an impressive sky, a little village in the valley, and great colors. I also get a stunning sense of depth and perspective from this shot. Must be the dark rock in the foreground standing against the brighter back. It's a very good shot!

As you were asking for feedback, I tried a workshop with some slight variations. Hope you like it.

I agree with you, what an impressive perspective! It's a beautiful place and you captured it very well Jasper.

Incredible panoramic view with great sharpness and detail. I like your PS work so far, it sort of makes the mountains in the back look like a painting.

Superbe ces zones d'ombre et de soleil.
Le cadrage bien réalisé donne un bon équilibre à l'image.
Merci pour cette belle photo.

Lovely mountains. It amazes me how different they look from the Alps.

I like the foreground shadow. It looks like it is the result of a passing cloud. The caption is very appropriate. Well done!

That a wonderful view of the dolomites with beautiful colours, Jasper... I think Norbert WS is well done too and is useful to learn you the sharpness. Thanks for sharing.

A lovely picture Jasper. The erpspective is very effective. The shadow on the centre mount really illustrates the 3D.

Magnificent landscape, your composition is excellent, the well returned colours. You are very fortunate to be able to go(surrender) to it. I looked at the ws of nwoehnl and I find it made a success well and its work adds to the impact of your work. Good shot!

Nice play between shadows and light zones. Very nice landscape. I wish I can go there myself. This seems to be a very nice place. Thanks for sharing.

Seems to be a very pleasant place for summer holidays ;-))
I tried a WS.

Great choice of perspective with the three layers of mountains. For a moment I thought it could need a foreground element, but I think on this scale the closest rock is "foreground" enough. Great colours as well.
