A view throgh the trees on one of the most spectacular lakes in South Tirol - lake Braies.
''''The lake lies at the foot of the rocky wall of the Croda del Becco (German Seekofel, mts 2810) and is located inside the Natural Park Fanes - Senes and Braies at 1496 mts.

It covers an area of about 31 hectares with a length of 1.2 km and a width of 300-400 meters. It is one of the deepest lakes in the province of Bolzano, with more than 36 meters deep and a maximum average depth of 17.

its origin is due to the damming of the river Braies due to a landslide from the Sasso del Signore.

the lake is known for its intense blue color of clear water and the natural scenery that surrounds it.''

Quite a simple subject but one which is beautifully composed and executed, to guide the viewers directly from the f/g to the b/g, with chances to absorb the ambience of this quiet place; the trees, the shadows, the beckoning azure water, all play a part in this enticing shot.

Wonderful backlit view of a small alpine lake. I especially like the bright blue water and bright green fir branches against water.
I seem to fail myself whenever I try something like that. Scene easily gets too messy or there are over or underexposed spots.

A very good shot, with a nice and peaceful atmosphere. I like the format and the composition, but what really catches my eye is the colour of the water. It must be a really great place!
