This is a front view of the impressive cathedral of Noto.
Cattedrale di Noto or La Chiesa Madre di San Nicolò is a Roman Catholic cathedral. Its construction, in the style of the Sicilian Baroque, began in the early 18th century and was completed in 1776. It is dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Myra, and has been the cathedral of the Diocese of Noto since the diocese's establishment in 1844.
The cathedral collapsed in 1996 as a result of unremedied structural weakening caused by an earthquake in 1990, to which injudicious building alterations in the 1950s may have contributed. It has since been rebuilt, and was reopened in 2007.

Ciao e buona serata

Visiting Noto is one of my biggest dreams so I am super happy to see image from that impressive city in your gallery. The cathedral looks spectacular here in the warm tonality and soft light on the facade. Very well spotted. TFS!

So you went to Italy in August! Awesome.
this one is great.
it feels strange to see such an open-frame type of photo in your gallery, usually you like the narrow view.
beautiful coloring, looks almost unreal.
where are all the people?
great stance, great point of view, really like it.

Bonne photo de cette cathédrale originale et impressionnante. Les tons des pierres se marient très bien avec ceux du ciel.

A well composed shot with the vertical well placed in the centre. I like the warm cold color contrast between the grey blue sky and the yellow red facade of the church. Good sharpness and upward pov. The diffused light worked well here. Tfs!

The buildings are framing well the cathedral. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the cathedral of Noto. The cloudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

It's hard thing to imagine this cathedral has been rebuilt just a few years ago. I've seen the picture of the damage on Wikipedia and it's just amazing to see the quality of the reconstruction. Your picture is a sort of hommage to those who participated in the rescue of this beautiful monument. This golden stone gives the most beautiful effect and produces attractive warm colors that stand out well on cloudy sky. The sharpness is excellent.
Thank you for your note.
