Photographer’s Note

The same day I arrived to Cefalu, I went for a stroll around the town and was presented with one of the most incredible golden hours I've ever experienced...and from that moment on I fell in love with this place on earth...
There is a delightful path that has been built around the 'arabian' part of the city, winding itself around playful rock formations (a silhouette of which you can see in this picture) and including small bridges to bring you over bigger rock cleavages. During this walk you can admire aswell 'la rocca', the big mount that you can see in my previous post.

I would have liked to name this picture "Sogni d'oro" in italian (but I didn't know how to post the apostrofe...), which is really a frase you tell somebody you wish a good night's sleep. I like the double sense in it, which I feel, could show aswell in the english title. I had the fantasy that the person on the boat was sailing into darkness to the right of the picture...that is, home to a good night's sleep...
