Photographer’s Note

Beyond these roman ruins (IInd. century B.C.), memory of the restoration done by the romans over the Greek Theater (IIIrd. century B.C.), we can see the coast of Sicily, Giardini Naxos, and the slope of the Enna volcano, becomed actual by its recent eruption. The ligth over the ruins was quite impressive!

Más allá de las ruinas romanas (s. II. a.C.), recuerdo de la restauración romana del Teatro Griego (s. III. a.C.) en Taormina, podemos ver la costa siciliana, la ciudad de Giardini Naxos y la falda del Etna, de reciente actualidad a causa de su erupción. La luz sobre las ruinas era realmente fantástica.

great foto amigo...i like the multi levels of the especial mirador...the fogy orizonde is spledid...exelland notes too

I like the light on the ruins in foreground. The name of taormina evocates for me a french movie called "the great blue". A story of a man, and it's relation to the sea and its activity : diving. It was very famous in france (realized by the cineast M. Besson).

Hola Angel, a very well composed picture of these beautiful ruins, lit in a very subtle yet striking way. The great curves of the Sicilian coast adds great interest and this combination yet again makes me want to make the travel the route Paul Theroux described in the 'Pillars of Hercules'.

Hola Ángel,
parece que vayas buscando las erupciones volcánicas, alli donde vas, zas! volcán en erupción. El Stromboli, ahora el Etna...
Bromas aparte, la foto tiene un buen efecto estético con la vista profunda y un poco difuminada por la neblina, que le da un toque gris muy atractivo, y que la contrasta con el primer plano, bien iluminado por esa luz baja de tonos dorados y que produce un bonito juego con las sombras en las ruinas.
Grandioso encuadre.

Un paysage à perte de vue avec ces ruines au premier plan. J'aime bien ce paysage un peu estompé qui donne toute sa valeur au premier plan.

Hi Angel, A perfect title & what a view, looking over the bay from this superb vantage point must be wonderful, well composed with the corner of the ruins in the frame, I wish the light had been a little better, however TFS, kind regards Wilson.

Belle photo de ces ruines avec derrière ces ances et ces village,jolies couleurs et bel ensemble,légère brume a l' arrière qui nous donnerait envie d' y aller voir.Bien vu, derrière et par les ouvertures nous voyons le reste, comme une ouverture sur l' endroit de vacances .Amitiés Thomas

Ya hemos comentado alguna vez, que conociendo el teatro de Mérida, el de Taormina sabe a poco, en cualquier caso, su mayor atractivo es el emplazamiento y en esta foto recoge esa virtud con gran belleza, tanta como la del paisaje. Muy bonita foto.

Sencilla pero muy inteligente composición usando las ruinas en primer plano contrapuestas a la ciudad de fondo, pero sin dejar ningún elemento desenfocado.
