Photographer’s Note
The remains of a roman amphitheatre in the northern part of Taormina show a carefully selected view from the audience towards Mount Etna (in clear weather), so one could have been warned before an upcoming eruption even during a play ;-)
Unfortunately I cannot mask the reconstruction work on this picture, hopefully someone has a better shot of this.
