Photographer’s Note
This is the main street in Taormina, Sicily, Corso Umberto I. The town has been a major tourist destination since 19th century and many celebrities have visited it including Elisabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Gregory Peck, Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Cary Grant, Woody Allen, Richard Wagner, Johannes Brahms, Oscar Wilde, John Steinbeck, Gustav Klimt, Guy de Maupassant, Ingmar Bergman Francis Ford Coppola and Federico Fellini. Taormina has a charming atmosphere and it is very relaxing to take walk in Corso Umberto I, that is a pedestrian street.

Excellent daily-life scene, I like the spontaneous character of the scene and their expressions. The light, the POV and the colors are very good. Nice narrow pedestrian street. As usual, great clarity.

Very good view up the street. The repeating arches are an attractive feature of this perspective view. The strong light/shade contrasts have been handled well.

Hi Ulf!
Another nice street scene. The details of the houses and all these people passing makes the composition very interesting. You got very good light here also!
Regards, Anabela
