The red lambretta Photo

Photographer’s Note

I think there is a lot of Italy in this picture. At least the Italy of a couple of decades ago.
I have taken this picture in a sleepy corner of Lipari, Eolian Islands, Sicily.
Lambretta was a "status symbol" in the sixties. Now its place has been taken by those huge and ugly 4-wheel drives cars...

Hi Stefano,
A well observed and performed composition. The yellow line on the ground and the red scooter are equally important here. Beautiful picture!

I love the way you hav composod this one with such a defined angular perspective. The acooter there is superbly placed and captured. great tones and fine balance indeed.

Ciao Stefano, Nice colour & clarity in this very Italian shot. Pavement, yellow line are as important as the red Lambretta in this well composed shot.

With all due respect to the Lambretta, I think it's the yellow line and the grey stones that really make this picture.

Sono stato un lambrettista proprio negli anni 60 e questa foto mi dà tanta nostalgia...
A parte questo la composizione è abbastanza gradevole, anche se a te piace prendere sempre molto fondo stradale. Io avrei innalazato un po' la visuale sulla casa rossa che sembra interessante, ma ovviamente è opinabile...
La lambretta rossa è un "eye catcher" e vale da sola la foto.

La coloratissima Lambretta, non piu' simbolo della modernità ma essa pure, oramai, "storica", ben si accosta alle murature antiche.
Egregio il motivo giallo sull'asfalto.

Efectivamente la gran diferencia de la foto está en el gran protagonismo del pavimento y las líneas amarillas. Una imagen efectiva.

Per contro, se dovessi identificare la tua visione del mondo definirei questa foto esemplificativa: disposizione ordinata e (colorata) delle cose, dentro un modo preciso e cartesiano.

Very interesting corner indeed :)
Lots of architectural elements and geometric lines, the little mechanical beauty is paradoxically the most organic object in the picture :D
