Photographer’s Note

Lipari is the city hall (but you can also call it a tiny village)of the Aeolian Islands. The small harbour, restricted to fisher boats access only, is beautiful with a nice Piazza, few restaurants stores and and fisheries. It is a real pleasure to stand there, doing nothing (or just taking few shots) and watching the arrivals of tuna, shrimps and other sea fodd products. In the back, one old volcan is there, looking after the city and very quiet compared to Stromboli and Vulcano that are also part of the islands. They are seven islands: Lipari, Vulcano, Stromboli, Panarea, Alicudi , Filicudi and Salina.

I really like the lighting in this, which looks amazing! The buildings are almost glowing, and they really stand out from the darker background. That cloud over the top of the mountain is very interesting too, and this has some wonderful colour. Nicely done!

Hi Geraldine...you are indeed sensitive to light. The lighting here is beautiful. Your composition as well is very well done making an interesting and pleasing shot.

Très belle photo, bien composée, avec de superbes couleurs et ce joli petit "nuage" coiffant le volcan. La lumière est très belle également.

coucou,
en regardant la galerie,ta photo m'a accrochee l'oeil puis le titre, j'ai clicke dessus et je me suis aperçu que ça venait de toi...aurions-nous quelques sensibilités communes?
je trouve qu'elle rend tres bien l'ambiance de Lipari,si le petit bateau à moteur au centre de la photo avait été un bateau de petit pecheur,ça aurait été parfait!!
