Photographer's Note

Alghero is one of the "spanish" towns on Sardinia´s west coast. From 1353 on Catalans ruled here for over 400 years and influenced the city´s architecture. Catalan is still spoken and many signs are bilingual. The pic is showing the San Michele church with its colourful majolika (ceramics) roof.
