Fire over the gulf Photo

Photographer’s Note

I took that image from the balcony of the villa that we rented some weeks ago in Sardinia.
The balcony watched to west, so every night we took an "aperitivo" looking at fantastic sunsets as that one. All the evenings there was a wonderful show!
The image is completely original; the city light are the ones of Olbia, that from few months was upgradated to Province capital status (Provincia di Olbia-Tempio Pausania).
We have the airport of Olbia-Costa Smeralda at less than 3 km from our, a small airporta that during the summer season is very crowded, with flight from North Italy and hundreds of small airplanes (Gullfstream and others), that transport billionairs from the whole Europe to the Costa Smeralda.

by the way....we went in Sardinia with the Ferry!

ciao, a ferryman! this one i like a lot - just a sample-cunset-colours image; and the jet getting into the frame was a good idea; plus very interesting note;

Aaaaahhhhhh, la Sardinia !
I like the good evening mood in this one, the red coloring on the clouds brings too the sea to light and allows the plane silhouette to detach itself well over the lighter color.
Boarding tomorrow evening in Savona, excitement rises :-))

Hi Paolo, great colors! Very lucky with the airplane in the right place of the frame. The foru dots of light are very nice. You were also licky with the water in front, you got a great reflection because of that.

Hello, Paolo! When I opened this picture I have noticed an unexpected element - the plane - which was not really recognizable on the thumbnail. It improves the composition by focusing an eye on itself. Color of Your image is also pretty and the atmosphere over the gulf is almost mystical...
