Photographer's Note
The Park of Pellerina (officially CARRARA Park ) is the greatest city park of the town of Torino and of Italy, with his extension of 837.220 mē (83,7 hectares).
Two artificial lakes, of different dimensions, harbor an aquatic fauna represented by numerous families of Mallard, Coots, Common Moorhens and Swans.
In a depression in proximity of the two lakes there is recently (flood of October 2000) formed a completely natural pond, the only one of that kind in the city of Turin.
It is a wet zone of modest depth (max 80 cms), surrounded by a crown of common reeds of swamp, and this one you can see in my shot.

The more I looked, the more I found really cool things in your photo. At first I saw the one legged bird (joking), which in itself wasn't enough for me. Then, there they are, baby turtles and mama turtles, and over to the right........who knows, maybe a cousin or older brother.
All joking aside Elena, I really like this photo because of all that it has to offer, and how well you've presented it with great detail to the animals that are the subject matter. Nice BG blurring and wonderful light management combined with organic colors makes this an excellent and pleasing photo to view. Great Job!!

Hello Elena
It was interesting to read your note about all the different birds ,but I was amazed you didn`t mention the lovely little turtles coming out of the water onto the protruding branches. They are one of my best loved water creatures after visiting a turtle`s nesting site on a beach in Turkey.T.F.S.
Best Wishes Gladys
