That´s San Francesco! I mean it´s not him in person of course, but a statue of him. The saint liked all creatures, that´s why he is often depicted with all kinds of animals - birds in this case.

The mild climate at the North Italian lakes allows the growth of palmtrees.

I just played with the brightness and the contrast.

Hello Gisi. A great shot of this saint. By the light-dark contrasts everything looks like a shadow play in the theater. Truly original and worth watching.

Wir sind nicht religiös, aber San Francesco ist unser Lieblings-Heiliger. Ich verstehe, dass er einmal sagte, wir sollten "ständig, das Evangelium predigen, sondern Worte zu verwenden, nur wenn nötig."
Ich denke, das Gutachten was viele Menschen nehmen sollte! ;-)
