[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A stork on the roof of a bell tower of a church in the little village of Sant'Alessio con Vialone in the province of Pavia.

On this roof there were two storks

"Vialone" gives the name to a very good kind of rice you find in this zone.

In front of the church there is the entrance of a private oasis where you can find diferent species of birds. The oasis will open in March.

buongiorno gae; i love this pic: the big bird being so proud staring at us; what is great in this shot is the angle created by the stork and the roof's edge; very nice geometry they compose;

Funny that we have posted the same motif on the same day, Gae. It seems to be that there is an invasion of storks as you say. My photo is taken in Spain and yours in Italy. I like in your photo that this bird here looks splendid, haughty and watchful, standing up. Beauiful blue sky too.
I had written in my note that white storks do not exist in Italy (readen in the Internet) but looking at your photo it is obvious that some are there.

Ciao Gae. Another one of your birds, eh? A clever and interesting shot. I like your composition here, how the upwards angle of the roof balances out the stork on the left. Nice work!

In Denmark we say "one bird in the hand, is better than 10 on the roof".

I must say, if it is a stork, I do think it is better this way, as your picture show. Vell seen, good comp. good colour and contrast.
