The Basilica of Saint Calimero rises in Romanesque age over a small church dedicated to Calimero, bishop of Milan (this structure had to be more ancient); the system of that ancient church is still integral in cripta of puts into effect them basilica and has had the task to conserve the empty ones of the Saint for centuries. Of Calimero instead it is not known much. The only certainty is that he was bishop a lot loved and honored. A legend says that he was a roman official to the dependencies of Adrian, than subsequently came ordered bishop from Pope Telesforo.

Nice photo. Good exposure and nice framing. Wish there were more blur people.

Your night photography is really coming along. I wish I had all the wonderful subjects and ease of walking around them to try out some of my own. You utilized the church facade and the semi-circular area on the ground as a nice starting point for the deep perspective down the narrow street. Everything funnels the eye outward past the person in a nice bit of motion blur. Nicely done.

Great work with this night exposure, Gae. I prefer your composition to the one recommended in the workshop. The light on the left is not distracting; rather, it adds an eerie, surreal element to the photograph. Some people closer to the camera would have been nice. I'm not sure what happened with the purple glow in the sky. It might be something with the white balance. It's not bad here because of the surreal mood of the photo but for other night shots it might not work well and you would want to try and eliminate it. Anyway, excellent job. I am looking forward to more of your night shots. Keep shooting!
