Photographer's Note

A floor-level view on the north wing of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, in Milano.
Built by Giuseppe Mengoni between 1865 and 1877, covered with an iron structure and arching glass roof, design as 19th-century arcade.
The Galleria is famous for being home to some of the oldest and most luxurious shops and restaurants in Milano.
"A floor-level view", because I placed the camera on the floor…

Hello Ike,
Makes for a fascinating perspective with the camera placed at floor level. The hustle and bustle of the crowd is emphasised and we get these interesting reflections. I like the lighting and excellent sharpness.

Hi Ike,

The length of the hall is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and ciolors of the architecture of the Galleria. the surrounding light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

The camera was placed firmly on a tripod on the floor. Best low POV showing the beautiful hall in the Mall. The room full of traffic and bustle. Very good picture quality.

Hi dear Ike

This Galleria is very similar to the Galleria Umberto in Naples (see my Theme to give you an idea). Although the one in Milan seems bigger and more splendid. It looks like you were lying on your stomach to get this low POV! Go Ike! Fantastic job, I like the reflections on the floor and of course the glass and steel ceiling has a wonderful symmetry and is simply famtastic. Thanks for sharing and I wish you a lovely day.

you had an optimal intuition and idea. people move apparently in the chaos. but watching better all of them are makeing something of interesting. and this gives a great sense to the photo.
the girl is photographing, the boy turns itself to watch you, the important man is carrying a bag. a girl in green is on the center of the door and the photo. all is in order, in a good compositiv harmony.

I just saw this photo and recognise the building even though I have not been there.
You got a great POV because you went to a bit a trouble setting up the camera at floor level. Well done.
Also the light factor is well controlled making the image clear & crispy.
