The view north along Lake Como from the Como waterfront. Como is at the southern end of the western arm of Lake Como. As you can see, the lower slopes are dotted with villas and villages, but much of the countryside is forest. You can get around the lake on the ferries that run up and down the lake. (Of course there is no up and down on a lake - it is all the same height above sea level.)
Polariser used. I used Photoshop to lighten up the shadows on the hills, and to increase the definition of the clouds using a contrast mask.

Como may be the most beautiful lake in Italy. Steep slopes and varying light makes this scene interesting. That special form flower pot is a well chosen foreground detail.

Wonderful view with the lake and mountains!
Very attractive picture with excellent sharpness, exposure, pov, dof, colors, pp, contrasts, horizontal format, black & white borders and, above all, composition!
TFS - congratulations!
