Photographer’s Note

“When you write the story of two happy lovers, set it on the banks of the Como Lake.
I do not know of any place which is more demonstrably blessed by heaven; I have never seen another one where the charms of a life of love can appear more natural”

wrote in Bellagio, on 20th September 1837, the great Hungarian musician Franz Liszt, who arrived at Bellagio in the autumn of 1837 with the learned and charming Madame d’Agoult, protagonists of one of the most famous love stories of the romantic era.
In Bellagio their daughter Cosima was born, who later married Richard Wagner.

So many beautiful pages have been written about the extraordinary variety of the landscapes of Bellagio, rupestrian and refined at a time, Mediterranean and Alpine at the same time, designing the identity of this place through the biographies and yesterday’s and today’s stories which have been interweaved here is easier to convince ourselves of the presence of a genius loci, a simple expression with which the Latins recognized something unique and extraordinary tied up to a place.

Varenna was a beautiful town but the real jewel of the Lake Como is Bellagio. Enjoy!

Good morning Malgorzata,

Famous Lake como, very touristic, but very beautiful. Seems April is a good time of the year to go there, some remains of snow on the peaks, fresh green colours on the foliage and bright strong colours on the buildings. I like your composition, crop and framing....looks like a very inviting place.

This is a nicely composed shot of this outstanding place. The hill and mountains form a nice backdrop for the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

Witaj Malgosiu,
Jestem naprawde pod wrazenie tego miejsca. Krajobraz jak z bajki a przyciecie do wymiarow panoramki dalo niesamowity efekt przestrzeni. Wszystko, o czym czlowiek marzy jest na tym zdjeciu- gory, woda i piekna, kolorowa architektura.

Czesc,
ladna panoramka, szkoda, ze nie zrobilas duzej wersji bo miejsce urokliwe. Sporo zobaczylas podczas weneckiej wyprawy. Miasteczko podoba mi sie bardzo. Dobra jakosc zdjecia.

Czolem Malgosiu!
Bardzo ladna, bardzo udana panorama. Chcialby sie tam byc, siedziec sobie pod drzewem, popijac kawe i cieszyc sie widokiem.

Hi Malgorzata,
you're really quite the globetrotter. Not so far away you were cruising the entire north american continent and know it seems that the italian peninsula is your newest targert.
Wonderful composition and I especially like the tight cropping around the cityscape of Bellagio. Everything is quite colorful and filled with the right light to enhance the entire atmosphere.

Lindíssima esta cidade junto deste rio as casas coloridas tem uma arquitectura magnifica , muito bonita a natureza, bonitos tons de azul e verde, belo ponto de visão , parabéns!!
