Photographer’s Note

A view of the Segrino Lake, the smallest one of the bigs of the District Lakes North of Milano on the Lombardian Pre-Alpi.
The name come from the latin Fons Sacer (sacred source), then Sacrinum in Vulgar Latin and finally Segrìn in the Como dialect and Segrino in Italian.

The green grass in the foreground is such a stunning colour and they're so sharp. The image is well composed with the dry grass sticking out at an angle and they stand out well against the background.

It's really a small lake (I had to look on a map to see where it was), but it's looks beautiful with all this green environment around it. I particularly like the light green grass that you've framed in the foreground. It seems like a very peaceful place.

I like the three layers of intense green in the shot: the grass at foreground, the reflection and the perect background. It can looks like monotone, but I see a bin contrast, and almost infinite tones and textures. Very nice composition! Complimenti!

Ciao Paolo. Beautiful vivid colors in this pleasant view across the small lake. The low angle and the inclusion of the foreground vegetation turned out quite effective for the overall composition, and the light on the foreground glasses almost gives a translucent quality to the greenery.
