[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We happened to be staying in Portovenere on the Ligurian coast just South of the Cinque Terre for a few days of relaxation. On the spur of the moment we decided to do the walk along the Cinque Terre track that connects the five villages. We caught the morning ferry to Monterosso, had lunch (a big mistake) then set off to walk to Vernazza. To say the walk was spectacular was such an understatement, it was just magnificent. People come from all over the world to do the same walk, however for a couple of fifty something’s, unfit people with a full stomach of pasta and vino, it was a triumph of the human spirit to reach our destination without the aid of the paramedics. Flushed with our success, when our ferry got us back to Portovenere at the end of the day we brought a bottle of wine, some cheese, a bread stick, and perched ourselves on the terrace of the ancient fort to watch the sun set, on this wonderful coastline.

Great colours! But I just HAD to try and meddle with the composition. I did a vertical crop. It looks interesting. I'll post the workshop when I sort out the PS vs TE problem.

Hello Peter,
what a stunning view, and yes, it's a beautiful goodnight; something I wish to enjoy every day. The red and orange gradient in the sky is amazing but what makes the difference here is the reflection in the sea which seems on fire. Simply beautiful, I like it!

Hi Peter,
the center of interest in the picture is certainly the sun in regards to the slopes and the vast of horizon! One more interesting element is the fantastic colour thanks to the time of capturing. The aerial perspective effect is emphasized by the series of mountains and amazes me!
