Photographer’s Note
This shot was taken along the path between Manarola and Corniglia. The Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera. It is in the Liguria region of Italy, to the west of the city of La Spezia. "The Five Lands" comprises five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore.
The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Cinque Terre is noted for its beauty. Over centuries, people have carefully built terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea. Part of its charm is the lack of visible "modern" development. Paths, trains and boats connect the villages, and cars cannot reach it from the outside. It is a very popular tourist destination.
In 1998 the Italian Ministry for the Environment set up the Protected natural marine area Cinque Terre to protect the natural environment and to promote socio-economical development compatible with the natural landscape of the area.
In 1999 the Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre was set up to conserve the ecological balance, protect the landscape, and safeguard the anthropological values of the location.

Hello Asa,
I like the way in which the photograph describes the dive of the coast in the depths of the sea. The foreground has pleasant colors and details. The sight is very deep. The natural colors are excellent. Very beautiful work, cheer.
Have a nice day.
Cordially.

Hi Asa,
The rugged area of the coastline is an asset to the composition. The point of view takes our eyes toward the horizon whioh is giving depth to the photo. There is a good contrast between the colors of the sky, of the sea and of the cliffs. Have a nice day.

Hallo Asa!
A really impressive view of an outstanding coast! Here I like especially the different blues of the sky and the sea. A place to marvel ...
Greetings from an already a bit autumnal Germany! I hope you are fine.

Hi Asa,
A very beautiful picture, excellent colours! This is also interesting as we have many times discussed this coast line as a possible holiday goal. We haven´t made it yet, but some day...
Kind regards

Hi Asa,
I was just looking at your shot from Montarosa and then I open this one, quite a contrast between the two. Off course they are both excellent in different ways. I love the nature and serenity and vast openess of this shot. The deep blue of the ocean and the Pale blue of the sky, and from this POV, it just make us want to be able to fry over such beautiful place. Great shot. Thanks

Bonjour Asa,
une photo où l'on peut presque respirer l'air marin, bien cadrée avec de la profondeur. Je trouve dommage que le ciel et les écume soient un peu surexposées.
My best regards.
Daniel.

Bonjour Asa,

Hello Asa,
the great depth (enhanced by the close foreground) and the beautiful deep blue of the sea are attractive. Due to the steep slopes and in absence of any sign of human activity this part seems to be quite wild as if it would not belong to the most elegant coastal area of Europe.
Best whishes

Bonjour Asa.
Ce paysage est magnifique et se trouve bien photographié. J'aime la place faite à la mer et à son bleu profond. Le rivage sauvage et abrupt accompagne le regard jusqu'à l'horizon de belle manière.
Bon weekend !
Jacques
