Riomaggiore is the southest village of the Cinque Terre. Like Manarola, it dates back to the twelfth century. It is a villafe of fishermen and therefore fresh fish is always there! What surprised me is that all the boats were out of the water on the small dock or in front of the houses. That's because when strong south winds blow at the area, every boat will crash on the rocks. Next to the village there is a small rocky beach with crystal clear waters.
Riomaggiore is accessable by train (direct link from Genova and La Spezia), the local bus and by car (car parking on the top of the village).
