Bordighera - Church of St. Ampelio

Bordighera is a town and comune in the Province of Imperia, Liguria (Italy).
The city was founded around the 4th century BC by the Ligures.
Historically, it has been a favourite winter resort, especially for visitors and retirees from England, and is renowned for its beautiful coast scenery. Its flowers and palms have been well known, with the flowers having been exported and the palms used on Palm Sunday at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and other churches. A museum contains a unique collection of the flora of the Riviera.
From 1682 until the Napoleonic period, Bordighera was the capital of a small republic of the villages of the neighboring valleys.

Une très jolie chapelle merveielleusement située au bord de la mer . Ses abords sont joliment aménagés . Prise de vue parfaite . Ses murs blancs et son toit de tuile rouge ressortent superbement sur le fond bleu et la verdure .

irresistible greens and blues in this beautiful shot. They make the red roof of this exquisite little church all the more outstanding and distinctive. Enticing composition, full of detail and clarity with a pefectly placed shadow that pinpoints the main subject so perfectly and also creates depth. Wonderful!

Magnifique photo et très jolie cette église avec vue sur la mer. Probablement qu'il n'y a pas de fenêtre du côté de la mer pour que les fidèles regardent la mer en écoutant la messe, ce serait peut-être intéressant. Excellente qualité d'image, bons détails et superbes couleurs.

una bella immagine da Imperia bellissima! si tratta di un quadro molto straordinaria di S. Ampelio molto pittoresco, molto rilassante per gli occhi e per l'anima! blu molto bella del mare si addice perfettamente il cielo e dintorni molto verde e attraente. Sto prendendo un viaggio immaginario a questo bellissimo posto!

Very attractive colours in this very pleasant picture. There is a clear diagonal along the wall and the roof. The bell tower is positioned perfectly for the balance. Beautiful!

I like very much the well saturated colors here. The light was great and you have perfectly used it. The church is really charming and it is well set and between the dark blue sea and the lush green vegetation. I like the shadows of the palm trees in the foreground. The play of the light and shadow makes it feel almost three dimensional,
