I guess if you can squeeze yourself into a planter box, and it’s cozy…why not?!! Even the little guy up top was getting settled in for a nice rest on a warm and comfortable afternoon.
Not much to expound on here, just another one of those lucky finds as I was out and about, making my way around the village. Either these cats were so accustomed to tourists, or they simply didn’t care, but even my movements at close range didn’t cause them to flinch. What a life!

I just came across your interesting gallery because this wonderful image caught my attention! Your POV on this idyllic scenery works excellently. I read your humorous note with great pleasure. Cats are fascinating creatures and you captured two of them very nicely!

Hello Jason ,
This line of jars on the stoned wall along the white stair was an excellent subject . With the little cat in the first one , it becomes an amazing capture .

Lors de notre dernier voyage en Italie, ma conjointe s'est fait un thème avec les chats omniprésents dans les paysages urbains. J'aime beaucoup ce cadrage vertical qui donne une belle répétition des pots. On dirait même que le chat sourit.

Now there is the cat that got the cream, the look of contentment on his face is really cool, which is surprising because if I was jammed into a plastic planter like this, I dont think I would share this expression. Very nice find to spot this guy relazing in the sun, and even better still that you got such a nice backdrop for it too with the nice marble staircase and the rising line of plant pots.
Perhaps the pot is filled with catnip, and this guy is just blissed out?
All the best

First of all my congratulations on your 200th post here. Another milestone on the long way of photography.
I like this amazing capture of the cat. My cat also loves to sleep in some boxes, holes and different unusual places. Funny scene indeed.

Well, from all of Portofino's amazing archi. details, you managed to find a one cat shy from the thousands of tourists squeeze there daily.
Nice taken from the POV, as the plant-pots beautifully decorating the stairs up.
Details are immaculate on the image.

I like you continuation of the series. And in my opinion this one is even more captivating. The cat dozing in the flowerpot-simple,but so sweet and lovely. As I see stroll along the streets of Italian towns brings not only architectural highlights, but also some interesting scenes from the daily life of its "inhabitants":)
Brilliant shot Jason showing us a little bit different aspect of Portofino and its attractions.
Looks like you have today your round "anniversary"-200th shot.
My Best Congratulations to You!
I think I need to get down to work:)
Wish You all the best

Jason, cats are ridiculous subjects! This is a great shot; the planters form a nice line up the frame, which looks great in the vertical format, and the cats at both ends form bookmarks on the scene. Very pleasant image. Thanks.

i'm more of a dog person, but who could resist this pair of snoozers?! :)
the bottom one looks quite smug and pleased with himself. i guess i would be, too, if i could squeeze into a flower pot and soak up the sun :)
fun capture, jason ~ not the usual portofino shot for a change. and a sweet sense of humor to boot!
