Somebody said that the architecture is the solid music. But this cityscape sounds like a terrible cacophony ))) Anyway, this is good contrast photo.
marabu61 (4182) 2012-08-31 13:20
A picture with a nice clarity. The use of a long telelens has rendered the perspective nicely compact. Good contrast between the red house in the foreground and the white rest.
Have a good weekend

A great POV in a extra sharp image. Great perspective on the buildings and roofs of this very built-up city. The exposure is well balanced throughout producing very natural color tones and allowing to see lots of detail. Fantastic job !
Havea nice weekend.

Heard so much about this world famous city, awesome panoramic view with sharp details and delightful lighting. Seems like cranes can found any where even in an old city. Very well done, tfs.

Great look out to the sea, captured at the right time of day with the nice, soft lighting to highlight the rooftop details . I like the many different shapes and angles. Too bad there's so many cranes in the background, but that's impossible to avoid around the ports!? Oh well, still a great image!

The distance between the belvedere anthe horizon is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the buildings. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

The photos from the idea of Genova view.
It becomes very interesting belt of fortifications on the hills.
Shortly photographed but a superb defensive wall.
In this photo there is the wealth of this city and a small example of the decline due to over-population.
Close industries and creating alternatives.

Hi Ike, Splendid view of the Genova Old Town, so densely built and all building in similar colour. So many towers and cranes here! Good composition and sharpness. Impressive.

A real bird's eye view.
A fine opportunity to study the diversity of the city, from the tall, elegant buildings to the tall functional cranes.
Good light and great dof are excellent features.
Have a great w/e,

what a fantastic view over the rooftops of Genoa.I like this warm light here and the way you utilized it to give the composition touch of warmth and to increase the color saturation.
When it comes to architecture the city looks diversified in this regard so certainly everyone will find something for yourself.
Have a nice weekend

Bonjour, cher Ike,
La vue est plaisante. Je m'imagine contempler l'ensemble de la ville et de porter mon regard sur les différents édifices, puis, contempler l'horizon.
Une belle réussite.
ourania (13085) 2012-09-01 3:27
the tight frame and bright light give to the old town a very vivid and vibrant aspect. The close interaction of so many angles, lines, architectural patterns and styles is most intriguing. I love the sweeping depth and the innumerable details spread all over the frame. The contrasts are well handled and effective making the view comfortable. Sharpness is excellent too and the the buildings are well distinguished in the strong light. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good month,

Superb composition with a nice contrast between the roofs and part of the capital in the foreground, with the magnificent view of the city stepped into the harbour, giving great depth to the image. Very nice as these rich colors with good light.
Have a good month and good evening,

Not a square-centimeter of grass seen in this busy scenery, but anyways its quite attractive due to the many architectural details that can be observed with a magnifying glass over the pc screen, given the high resolution.
