A late afternoon sun-rays, taken the port-side of the
"Neptune-Galeon", a Pirates-ship replica, anchored in Genova old-port.
I was enthusiastic with the details of the ropes and cannons.
The old port on map: 44.4132, 8.926

The late afternoon light brings out the detail in the rigging and timbers to great effect. A fine graphical composition, nicely framed and with excellent sharpness.

The condition of the wood makes this replica more authentic and old. And the cannons look like they are ready to fire. I like the lighting and it has good dof with nice details. Very well done, tfs.

I appreciate this close view of the starboard of the pirate ship, the intricate network of ropes and the many clear and fascinating details all over. Depth and perspective are superb and together with the excellent clarity and great lighting make the picture very interesting and appealing inviting us to explore it thoroughly. Well done and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,

A really fine boat photo. Ships and boats are not always easy to capture. Tall masts and limited space in port areas could make it very difficult. Very often the best option is to take a photo of part of the ship that includes enough to imagine what the rest looks like. Your photo is an excellent example of this. TFS and have nice weekend!

Very interesting composition of this pirate ship. It looks like ready to atack. Wonderfully presented this beautiful ship. Did you Ike took a tour?
I like the colors, fantastic sharpness, perfect clarity of so many details. Great job.
All the best and have a nice WE,

grazie alla chiarezza dei dettagli su ogni parte del galeone, sartie, cannoni, alberi, fanali, etc. la suggestione di questa nave pirata è veramente reale.
Well done, a great job my friend!
A nice w.e.

Une magnifique réplique d'un vieux de pirates et le bel éclairage nous laisse bien voir les détails. Excellente composition et qualité d'image et parfait rendu des couleurs du vieux bois. Beau travail.
Bravo!... et bonne fin de semaine,

Now, I like the composition of this view of the galleon better. The subject is clear and the many details are sharply exposed. The tall mast makes a strong separation line for thirds composition.
I'm not sure that I would like to climb up those nets when out at sea! The sailors were very brave!
My warm regards,

The close-up point of view is showing with precision the details and colors of the galeon. The ropes have a graphical effect. The light is giving nice tints to the colors. Have a nice day.

I really like the close-up on the bow of this beautiful galleon, great details, splendid light...the details are well visible also in the shadows...
mirosu (14988) 2012-09-14 23:59
This remind me to the similar (Columbus) galeon I've seen long time ago in Barcelone. Well captured with all details. You got a very nice light and the the contrast against blue sky is very good. Well done.

Il galeone e la poca manutenzione.
Un effetto bello di nave fantasma.
Una scena dei "Pirates" di Polansky.
Ottima pov e presentazione.

Very nice detailed picture of this old Pirates-ship replica.
We see very much on this image, how formerly our ancestors worked.
Sharpness and clarity are perfect also the colors make this image attractive.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,

Excellent shot. The boat is well positioned within the frame with excellent lighting and colours. The ropes with the wonderful shapes and the textures from the ship and the splendid details add the finishing touches.
Enjoy the weekend,

Ciao caro Ike
Ahhh I love this. Old boats, anything to do with boats. And this is so characteristic. The close up has picked up all those marvellous textures and tones. The details are really impressive and I feel like we are about to go on a big adventure. forget Pirates of the Caribbean, I prefer Pirates of the Mediterranean!
Un caro saluto

When I was a boy, awkward cardboard models of such ships. This beautiful medieval galleon - with these guns looks ready for a naval battle. Very good image quality.

Magnificent and original composition with the plane of the galleon, which gives a nice graphic with all those ropes and masts, on this plane image allows us to see many details of the ship, thanks to the good sharpness and brightness. Well done.
Have a nice weekend.

Sorry for being late Ike.
That's indeed a magnificent knitting of lines and exotic imaginary details throught wich I can imagine Captain Crochet, standing on higher deck, shouting
"FIRE" to sailors manipulating cannons!!
Interesting details shot in HD resolution.
macjake (57490) 2012-09-27 0:55
how on earth do you follow the lines in this one!
you'd go crazy trying to count all the ropes.
Wouldn't it have been amazing to be sailing these ships in the ol' days! wow.
a wicked subject.
i've enjoyed viewing it.

Dobar tekst ...
Lep pogled na repliku gusarskog broda ...
Dobar snimak, lepo pokazani detalji.
Nekada je bio strah i trepet za moreplovce, ostalo je samo secanje na gusare i njihove pohode.
Imajte lep i uspesan dan, sve najbolje.
Good text ...
Nice view of a replica of a pirate ship ...
Good shot, nice details shown.
It used to be the terror of the sailors, the rest is just a memory of the pirates and their campaigns.
Have a great and successful day, all the best.
NorthernLight (2313) 2013-09-21 1:51
an exiting picture. It would not be surprising if old "Blackbeard" Teach suddenly appears in it.

Huge workmanship to Buil this monster of the SEAT in that times.
Great shot with outstanding details as your say Ike.

Well this is just up my alley. I hate to tell you, but we are looking at the port side of the vessel. Not the starboard.
Lots of little interesting details; deadeyes, lanterns and the odd round canonholes on the main deck. Splendid capture.
It looks as if a bit of maintainance could be needed, though.
Cheers and have a great day.
