Photographer’s Note

The name Vettore probably derives from Victor, winner in height on the other near tops, approval by high mount Vettorehas the form of a horse iron, that it begins in the western part from Pass Viola (1936 m. slm) it continues for top of Redentore (2448 m. slm), the higher point of the western depositor, going of continuation towards east and towards north, then forming a semicircle of 1,6 km of diameter, till its maximum summit Vettore (2476 m. slm), in the province of Ascoli Piceno, from the crest in direction north it arrives here till Mount Torrone (2117 m. slm). The horse iron sinks to its inside until to quota 1940 m. slm in the river basin of the Lake of Pilato. A pecularietà of Mount carrier is sure its thus various aspect between the depositor umbro and the marchigiano depositor. To the West the mount raises from the Large Plane of Castelluccio in order nearly 1000 meters, completely vegetation perusal, and even if imposing the wall has a its sweetness, only interrupted to quota 2000 m. - 2100 m. from a horizontal fracture (a faglia of 4 km), the " Road of the Fate" , and the large one rock of Aquila. To east in the Marches mount Vettore it appears to us completely various un' enormous full of rocks mass that is incumbent on the below small village of pretare and Piedilama, creating a dolomitico landscape undoubtedly.

questo è il tipo di immagini che mi piacciono di più: grandi panorami con pochi elementi importanti e soprattutto luce, natura e libertà. ti invidio il momento in cui l'hai scattata.

oggi siamo vicini, ma il motivo per cui commento la tua bella foto è l'amore che provo per questa montagna -il Vettore- dove ho fatto delle camminate memorabili. Come evidenzia la tua foto, anche le strade che lo percorrono e circondano sono meravigliose, senza considerare quella che poi porta ai piani di Castelluccio...meraviglia!

Ciao Silvio. Sul versante marchigiano il Vettore è più una montagna classica. Dalla parte Umbra è avvolto da una alone di mistero che crea sensazioni impareggiabili. Ottimo POV qui, a scendere, con le varie zone di verde a dare profondità. Bella luce e super cielo.

tu eri in macchina o in bici quando hai scattato questa foto? Adoro questi paesaggi di montagna, mi piace fare mountain bike e mi ci vedo proprio in questa strada ad affrontare le salite! Splendido davvero, con un'ottimo controllo dell'esposizione.
