Photographer's Note

This picture was taken in Bomarzo, near Viterbo, Lazio.
This park, built in 16th century by a rich lord of the area, hosts tens of statue and artworks like this, reproducing monsters, giants, mythological figures, huge animals, all built in the rock stones which were already in the park.
It seems it is not clear at all why this park was built and which was the meaning of it.
Maybe there was just no meaning, and the rich lord (Conte Corsini, if I remember correctly his name) just wanted to have some fun.
