View from the top of the Vatican Cathedral. Stich of two old pictures (11 July 1992). Wondering that in TE the country is Italy.
Scanned with Nikon Supercoolscan 5000 ED.

Hi Achim ,
The high vision is interesting.
The stitch is visible.. but the concept is appreciated.
Would love to see another wider image from here..

Splendid classical view with spectacular panoramic composition and beautiful architectural details. Excellent lights and clarity. Well done! Have a nice day!

Wide angle view from this place looks fascinating, and it's less often seen than the cathedral view from the opposite direction. Technically it's not as good as many other scans you have, but never mind.
I think Adam once explained that Vatican is not a separate county in TE, because he can't divide it to more than one regions. To be honest it doesn't sound to me much of a reason though.

Bonjour, cher Achim,
Il a fallu prendre de la hauteur pour présenter cette vue plongeante sur la ville.
Cette photo de 1992 n'a rien perdu de sa beauté.
Belle version panoramique.

the quality if the scan is excellent. 17 years later and the colors and lights are still there. Great advantage point and good choice for the panorama format. Well done!

I think you’re right, the Vatican is in Italy but isn’t Italy. They have their own stamps and their own version of the Euro, but on the other hand it isn’t a sovereign country.
The view from the top of the dome of the Basilica di San Pietro gives me some nice memories.

Excellent, impressive panoramic view of the Vatican! Excellent POV, great framing and composition. The only "problem" is that the stiching is pretty visible!

An excellent pov and a view that covers a wide area, even better in panoramic format, scan quality is good.

Hi Achim, A wonderful view of one of the most famous building in the world, your POV is so high it surprised me when I opened up the picture, the panoramic framing works very well, a super shot, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

The panoramic point of view is allowing us to see the details and colors of the architecture of the Vatican. The subject is well frame. The good luminosity brings out the color of the city. Hvae a nice day.
