Photographer's Note
Behave!
Outside Pantheon in Rome you find an old obelisk sorrounded by some dolphin statues. Many visitors - of course also some pidgeons....
Of the obelisk and this fountain this is all I have:
The obelisk of the Piazza della Rotunda was erected as a pair with the one at the Villa Celimontana by Ramesses II in the Temple of the Sun at Helioplis in 13 B.C.
It was brought to the Iseum, the Temple of Isis, but it is not known who was responsible for this relocation.
In the early 18the century, Pope Clement XI erected the obelisk in the Piazza della Rotunda in front of the Pantheon. The base for the obelisk is decorated with water-spouting dolphins.

Hi Jack - a funny and well-seen moment of the statue seeming to have a worried and watchful eye on the pigeon's behavior ;) Nice symmetrical framing and a good upward angle; the writings in the back are also well included.

Hi Jack,
A very funny shot and a imaginative and creative artwork of this so well seen moment with this nice statue and the pigeon satying at the head of the dolphin. Excelent enquadrement, graphism and a very good job. Congratulations and all the best to you.

Jack
A very stark and intense shot. The pigeon is a great touch too. I like the composition and the colouring which is nice and subdued. A good picture.

Hi Jack, You have well captured the expression of the statue with the unhappy face looking at the pigeon on the top. A well seen and well caught fun picture. Well done.

Bonsoir Jack,

LOL!
Oh, you made my laugh and return to my past visit to Rome...Yeah, I remember this piece of sculptury very well (I took a shot from the left side, at 45 angle more or less, not so humorous as your post!). The timing of the bird sititng on his hear, the eyes gazing upward, the written fonts at the BG reconnects us with the location...yes, a very good timing and compo!
TFS!
