Photographer's Note

Note: Villa d'Este - Villa located in Tivoli, near Rome. A masterpiece of architecture and garden design. UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Villa d'Este, is today as one of the most outstanding examples of Italian Renaissance garden. Technical solutions used here and the way of space will delight any visitor and traveller to this place.

Undoubtedly the biggest and most famous symbol of the Villa d'Este is the Hundred Fountains Avenue. This is a series of bas-reliefs with scenes from Ovid's Metamorphoses - now due to the devastating impact of weather conditions, they are barely legible, but very romantic.
