The interior of the almost 2000 year old Colosseum in Rome, with the tiny people at the back on both levels providing scale. I thought about converting this to a yellow red sepia tint. I have added a workshop of the same D shaped podium in the fg shot from a different angle to include some blue sky. Here I waited for a cloud to come across to give better shadow detail.

I have to be honest, i think i enjoy the WS photo the best. Seeing the blue sky peek through the open 'windows' is really cool and i like the angle you took the shot at.
but this posted one is fine too, anytime we get to see the inside of the Colosseum its going to be fun and interesting - especially for me because i've never been to Italy before.
fine collection of photos.

I returned to TE after a hectic work week and am greeted by your wonderful picture of the historic Colosseum. I like the POV that shows so many interesting details and the fine symmetry. The WS photo is great too with the blue sky providing great colour contrast.
Thanks for sharing and have a great new week ahead.

It is quite difficult to find an original POV to capture this famous landmark however your cropping and perfect symmetry of composition gave a great visual result! Like it! All looks elegant and classy. Well done!

The point of view is showing with precision the details and the colors of the interior of the Colosseum. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

difficult to capture and convey the size and space of this amazing structure, but this shot goes a long way to achieving that. Wondrous sense of scale and executed perfectly. Like it!
Enjoy a good week - B.

Relatively rare to see a photo from inside the Colosseum. I like very much the symmetry and the use of the entrance gangway to draw the view into the scene. The clarity is very good indeed.

I have seen many external views of the Colosseum but not many internal ones. This shot shows what people have been missing! This is an excellent composition, making full use of the circular f/g and its subterranean details whilst, also, creating a fine sense of elevation around its edges.
A great shot finely exposed.
My warm regards,

Both pictures are pleasant to look at.
Almost incredible that two Thousand year ago people this can build.
Perspective and depth together with your composition makes the picture pleasant.
Lovely architecture picture.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice day,

It's amazing to see those ancient ruins such as this colosseum--they look more modern, well design, beautiful and durable than the more expensive arenas that we have now. Yes, those people look so tiny and they provided a good scale. You are seeing a lot of history and I thank you for sharing them with us.

I notice you are posting almost aereal views of Roma, first time I was there I stay at the Hotel Fontana, cheap but in face of the famous Fountain, each monning at 5 more or less an expert team removed all moneys doing a terrific noise
This is a perfect symmetrical capture, great sharpness to admire details and people like ants at the back
After watching the WS, must said It s more eye catching because of the contrast with the blue sky
Anyway, congrats, never saw such a good interior capture of the Coliseum

Ciao e buona giornata

an iconic monument with long ad interesting history presented here in a very attractive and effective way. I like very much the placement of the oval ground in the frame, the eye-catching perspective and the solid symmetry. You captured excellent details and the scale offered by the people is stunning. The chromatic harmony enhances our interest in the architectural details. I like very much the details, textures and colours of the workshop photo too. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely evening,

This is an exceptionally pleasant photo. I like its symmetry, its lovely geometric patterns and the lovely perspective the corridors are providing. Congratulations on your patience, the cloud did help.

Its an amazing big monument, Chris, scaled by the many tourists we cam see around the main round arena.
Fine clear shot, every arch and niche is shown superbly, from a well taken photo from the high point.
