Inner courtyard, a photo from Rome, Lazio

Photographer's Note

We started our nightly stroll in the streets of Rome in Piazza Venezia and along the Corso. At one moment we turned right and lost ourselves in the labyrinth of small streets that lead to the Fontana di Trevi. It was almost deserted and we were having a very romantic moment when the richly decorated walls and glass rooftop of this inner courtyard caught my eye at a glance. It appeared to be a residential building but I do not know the exact name of the building, nor of the street but it was so beautiful that I wonder whether I should find it again.

Buna Adina, interesanta imagine. Am ajuns si eu in Roma de cateva ori si pot spune ca intr-adevar e un orassenzational, practic un muzeu in aer liber. Imi plac tonurile calde din imaginea ta. Buna si geometria compozitiei cu atat de multe unghiuri drepte.

Bonjour Adina,
Cette cour intérieure vue en contre-plongée ferait presque penser à une cage d'ascenseur. La perspective est impressionnante et le contraste entre la partie sombre et la parie éclairée accentue l'effet de profondeur de l'image. L'architecture est très belle, les décorations sont riches et d'une grande finesse. La lumière naturelle éclaire efficacement l'ensemble. Bien vu.

Hello Adina,
So you were also in the pursuit of those Roman hidden gems. The thing i love in a city is getting lost in there, which causes me to travel on my own, i abstain and dread those terrible tours which only show the "outside" of it.
Of course the worst thing of discovering while getting lost is, forgetting where those details were.
Anyway, i love the decoration of the façades, exactly in the old Roman houses style.

magic shot this! The symmetry and composition here are just irresistible. Couple that with the immaculate detailing, light and colours and you have a mighty fine image. A quality and imaginative image that works superbly. Love it!
