Photographer’s Note
View from the gallery's main gate.
The image is a stich of tree shot made with the "Autostich" software, I have found it very good, better than photomerge of photoshop CS2.

A real myth for his roman fans, who call him 'Albertone', and one of the most popular Italian movie actors, Alberto Sordi was born in Rome in 1920; during his 50-year long carreer, he has appeared in some 150 films.
He began his artistic adventure working in popular radio programs and as a movie dubber, exploiting his very particular voice: for many years Oliver Hardy has spoken Italian through Sordi.
After playing secondary roles in a number of films, in 1951 he was chosen by Fellini for the character of the 'White Sheik' in Lo sceicco bianco, and his popularity started to grow.
In 1954 he created the character of Nando Mericoni in Un americano a Roma, where he plays a childish young man whose biggest dream is to live the American way of life, and therefore pretends to be from Kansas City: the film became a cult movie (Sordi was also one of the authors of the script), and Alberto was soon invited to the United States were he received a Kansas City honorary citizenship.
Commonly known as a comic actor, as many of his well-known films are comedies, Sordi has played a great number of different characters (often named Alberto, as himself); some of his roles have also been very serious or dramatic, but always with a touch of humor.
His films usually carry elements of social satire, sometimes mild, sometimes very bitter; he likes to play a typical middle class Italian with many defects and few good qualities.
Working for important Italian directors, such as Federico Fellini, Ettore Scola, Cesare Zavattini, Mario Monicelli, Vittorio De Sica, Luigi Comencini, his films sometimes have an important cast; he also personally directed some of his movies.
Among the famous national and international stars he worked with, we could mention Vittorio Gassman, David Niven, Claudia Cardinale, Bette Davis, Monica Vitti, Bernard Blier, Silvana Mangano, Shelley Winters, and many others.
Alberto Sordi's films are enjoyable both for his Italian fans (especially romans, who adore him) and for non-Italian spectators.

Hi Vinicio,
Excellent use of symmetry as a special effect. And original inside large panorama. The place looks cosy and spacious with calm colours and exact exposure. I wonder what's the angle between the two halls in reality, it's hard to estimate from a panorama.

Ciao Vinicio,
Bien hecha.
Un saludo,
Josep

Hello Vinicio,
Very good rendering of this gallery. We have been there during our week-end and I am impressed to see what you have done here. You certainly had to wait in order not to have people across several images... nice work.
Have a nice week-end

Ciao Vinicio

Ciao - buon fine settimana!!

Excellent work, Vinicio! The depth is really spec-ta-cu-lar; also the symmetry, in fact for a second I thought there was a reflection here. Congratulations for this amazing post. TFS, Daniel.

Hi Vinicio,
A very beautiful assembly of an irreproachable quality. I like very much the symmetry of these two commercial galleries. In large version one appreciates much the clearness of the details. Beautiful management of the light too. Cheer Vinicio and thank you for the note.

Daniel.
