Photographer’s Note
Forum Romanum is an impressive place in its own right. But it didn't hurt with some very impressive clouds in the background. Went far away from the pillar and shot with full zoom on my 18-125mm lens. The idea is to bring the clouds and the pillar 'closer together'.

Simplicity at its finest. Your eye didn't betray you here. The idea to back far away to get this amount of compression helps this shot incredibly. To many times people try to incorporate too much of the classic architecture and lose the beauty in the details...not so here. Wonderfully done.
