The place of the Capitole is decorated with a geometrical tiled floor and with an antique statue of Marcus Aurelius which thrones in its centre.

A long time, this statue was confused with that of Constantin, first Christian emperor, what allowed him to escape the destruction and to be so the only equestrian statue which reached us...
